Midland Park Mayor Launches Write-In Re-Election Campaign

MIDLAND PARK, N.J. — The race for Midland Park mayor was revived this week when current mayor Patrick “Bud” O’Hagan, who lost his bid in the June primary, announced his intention to wage a write-in campaign, northjersey.com reported.

O’Hagan lost the Republican mayoral slot to newcomer Harry Shortway, Jr., 556 to 339 votes in the primary.Shortway, who ran on the "Momentum for Midland Park" ticket, is a Bergen County undersheriff and has lived in Midland Park for 15 years.

O’Hagan has served on the municipal governing body for 22 years.
